    CHOICE, unlimited is dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and persons who are experiencing barriers to employment and community inclusion.



    Program Description:

    CHOICE, unlimited's Programs include: I. "Harbor View Employment Program" provides employment support to people who are of low income or in poverty. Harbor View Employment Program coordinates services with other community agencies to ensure continuity or support and assist people in developing and implementing employment plans toward realistic outcomes leading to economic self-sufficiency. II. "Work by Design Supported Employment" is a community based employment program supporting individuals as they choose career paths, participate in work, and develop entrepreneurial opportunities. III. "SECO - Seeking Employment and Career Opportunities for People who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing" assists people who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing in obtaining and maintaining long-term competitive jobs with career goals in mind. SECO assists in development of employment plans toward realistic short and long term outcomes. SECO supports individuals during training, certification, and internship or apprentice programs and provides communication facilitation using American Sign Language and other modalities. IV. "CHOICE" program seeks to find jobs for people with disabilities that are meaningful and based on personal interests, skills, and preferences. The CHOICE programs supports competitive employment and wages. It offers personal adjustments and assistance in accessing community employment and resources. CHOICE works closely with the individual in developing his/her outcomes and the means to achieve them. V. "Options" program is an alternative day program for individuals with disabilities and special needs who require one-on-one staff support. Options offers personal and social support in accessing community resources. It provides the opportunity for supported employment based on individual interests, skills, and preferences. Options develops services together with the individual and his or her support network. VI. "CORE - Community Outreach for Retirement Enrichment" is a community based, individualized services available to retirement ready individuals with disabilities. CORE provides people with a variety of choices in selecting activities they would like to participate in. It emphasizes inclusion in senior activities and association with other senior citizens. CHOICE, unlimited SERVICES INCLUDE: Career Planning and Employment Planning, Assessment - Situational and Functional, Supported Employment, Competitive Employment, Job Development, Job Placement, Job Coaching, Job Follow-up Services, Work Skills Development, Personal Adjustment and Assistance, Community Inclusion, Community Outreach for Retirement, Technical Assistance and Accommodations, Assistive Technology, Transportation and Mobility
