  • Mission:

The mission of AccessAbility, Inc. is to provide opportunities for self-sufficiency for people with barriers to employment and community inclusion.

    Program Description:

AccessAbility's core programs include: Day Training and Habilitation (DTH): Designed to enhance the skills and abilities of individuals through community employment, work opportunities, vocational training and community integration. Individuals participating in AccessAbility's DTH program are offered a wide range of services based on their own unique program needs through six different program components that provide both vocational and leisure/recreational opportunities. All components include case management, nursing and personal care attendant services. Extended Employment: Provides people with mental health and/or physical disabilities with long term supported employment at individual work sites in the community and in our own production facility. AccessAbility provides vocational evaluations through programs like Work Experience and Work Adjustment as well as job development, job coaching and follow-up services. Welfare to Work: Serves economically disadvantaged adults, primarily refugees and immigrants, currently receiving time-limited government assistance through the Minnesota Family Investment Plan (MFIP). The goal of the program is to provide training and the opportunity to secure and maintain competitive employment in the community. The people who benefit from this program have negative or no work history, live in distressed neighborhoods and/or have other significant barriers to employment and community inclusion.
