  • Mission:

    The Adult Training and Habilitation Center, Inc. Winsted/West provides training and habilitation services to individuals developmentally disabled or related conditions. Our mission is to provide services for the consumer based upon individual needs, emphasizing vocational and non-vocational development. Furthermore, to provide training which promotes skill acquisition, development of social skills, and increases the independent functioning of each consumer.



    Program Description:

    Services include training, supervision, assistance, supported employment, work-related activities, or other community integration activities to compliment a consumer's employment or work, self care, communication skills, socialization, community integration, transportation needs, emotional development, development of adaptive behaviors, cognitive development and physical mobility. These services are designed and implemented in accordance with a consumer's Individual Service Plan (ISP), Individual Habilitation Plan (IHP), and Individual Provider Plan (IPP) to help each consumer attain and maintain the highest possible level of independence, productivity and integration into the community where the consumer lives and works.
