Mission:
Computer related assistive technology assessment and one/one training enabling individuals to achieve employment goals, specific job skills, skills to help with educational success, retention of employment and personal independence.
Program Description:
Typically I do a 2 hour one/one training with individuals in their home or at their worksite once a week. This training is tailored for the individual based on their disability, goals, and abilities.
Training is done utilizing disability software and hardware such as Microsoft accessibility features, ZoomText, JAWS, Naturally Speaking, and Kurzweil. I also work with memory aids such as step by step sheets, shortcut keys and macros, and enlarged text help sheets.
Training includes: computer literacy on Windows operating systems and computer applications such as Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe products (Illustrator, Photo Shop, PageMaker), Intuit products (QuickBooks, Quicken), Internet, E-mail and other job specific programs.
I have worked extensively with augmentative communication devices and their interaction with the computer.
I am very proficient on many computer applications and have developed databases and spreadsheets to aid clients home based businesses or workplace environment.
