Mission:
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division promotes access for Minnesotans who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, and deaf-blind so they can participate effectively in the community.
Program Description:
1) Information and referral regarding hearing loss, its impact and resources for deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind Minnesotans. 2) Technical assistance for those providing services to people with hearing loss. 3) Problem solving and advocacy services regarding needed communication access to services and programs, including communication with employers. 4) Manage grant programs that provide specialized mental health and deaf blind services and provide interpreter referral and skill development.
